A PICC is a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter used to supply chemotherapy drugs, other medicines, and fluids. The cover provides a comfortable "hug" to the arm where the line is inserted and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Hook: H (5.0 mm)
Yarn: 75 yards of recommended brands:

Circumference: approx. 9” unstretched
Height: 7.5” Weight: 1.4 oz.
*Increases/decreases:
- Height: Chain more or less than noted in multiples of 4.
- Circumference: Add or subtract 3 rows for each ½ inch.

BLO: Back Loop Only - used only on first 5 and last 5 sts (ribbing)

Directions:
Ch 35.
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 4 ch, * ch 1, skip next ch, sc 1, Repeat from * across until 5 ch left. sc in last 5 ch; ch 1, turn. (34)
Row 2: sc (BLO) in first 5 sts, * ch 1, skip next st, sc in next ch sp, Repeat from * across until 5 sts left, then 5 sc (BLO) in last 5 sts; ch 1, turn. (34)
Repeat Row 2 until desired length / circumference. (The PICC pictured was made with 44 rows and was 9” in length before seam.) At end of last row, do not ch 1. Do not fasten off.
Seam: Ch 1 (skip Ch 1 if you already chained 1 at end of last Row). Line up foundation chain row with last row and loosely sl st together.
Fasten off and weave in all ends. Turn right side out.
